Which tool answers which question

Most people arrive with one of a handful of questions, usually in the week or two before a first appointment. These are grouped by the question rather than by what the tool does, because that is how the questions actually turn up.

What these tools are, and what they are not

They are for orientation. They exist so you walk into a studio knowing roughly what to expect and which questions to ask, rather than trying to work it out in the chair.

They do not replace an artist. No calculator knows your artist’s rate, no chart knows your pain tolerance, and no generated image is a stencil. Every one of these tools is at its most useful as preparation for a conversation with a person who will look at your body, your idea and your budget and tell you something specific.

Nothing here is medical advice. Aftercare and healing information is general guidance; your artist’s instructions relate to the work they did on you and take precedence, and anything that looks like infection is a question for a doctor.

Why they are free, and what we do with your data

These tools run entirely in your browser. There is no account, no email gate and no watermark. We build them because people researching a tattoo eventually want designs, and some of them try our generator — that is the whole business model, and it works better when the free tools are genuinely good rather than a lead-capture form wearing a hat.

Nothing you type into a calculator or a lettering preview is sent anywhere or stored. Upload tools process your image to produce a design and are covered by our privacy policy.
